Mari Carr is an amazing writer.I have read many of her series and I'm never disappointed.
What I really love about this romance is just that...it's a true romance.
There is no major tragedy, no angsty back and forth, not even any over the top drama.
It is a sweet, funny, love story about two people who weren't looking for love, but found it.
Mari is known for her fabulous characters who live in the creative world's she builds and the stories she weaves.
If you are looking for something sweet, fun, light hearted with a Happily ever after, then pick up your copy of Party Naked.

A good read for people who are in to the series recommend highly can't wait for the next one of the series a really enjoyable read but quick shaping up to be a enjoyable series must read the next one of the series
This was a great book. The story of Stephanie and Nolan a good read and beginning to this series. Both characters were well developed and you easily read the love developing between them. For once a lot of the book was from the male POV and him wearing his heart on his sleeve, where as Stephanie was trying to fight the love and keep it casual. It was funny, had me laughing out loud. the sex was hot from the get go, a mix of romance, passion, bondage and a little BDSM. I can't wait for the second book in this series to come out. The concept of a bookstore and bar is brilliant and I would certainly be a regular at one if there was one around.
I read Come Monday (Wild Irish, Book One) by Mari Carr a year or two ago and it was so much fun I can't believe it took me this like to read another book by the author. This isn't as deep as that book, but it is a whole lot of fun to read. If you like your heroines cynical and mouthy and your heroes resilient and take-charge, check this book out.
It's setting up a series, so several female characters are introduced. This, however, is just the love story of one of them. I enjoyed it enough to check out the next book in the series, which isn't something I do very often.
The mix of emotion and sex in this book is really enjoyable. It felt like the time flew by while I was reading it.
Mari Carr shares some good insight on trust, commitment and letting go of the past in a relationship. Stephanie and her three best friends opened a book store/bar in their home town. The bar and book sales are doing rather well, bringing in book clubs and regular customers. Watching her mother struggle through several marriages because of time devoted to her career, Stephanie fears romantic relationships. She was also part of a pact with her friends to give three years of full attention and devotion to their book store/bar. After two years, along comes Detective Jarod Nolan. After a couple of run ins, they both decide to act in a sexual manner regarding their mutual attraction. Mari Carr builds an interesting strategy for Jarod to tear down Stephanie's lines of defense. After some hard learned lessons and sexy experiences, the reader gets to see if they end up in an exclusive relationship despite Stephanie's reservations. It was a fun story to read....on to book #2!
I fell in love with erotica because of Mari Carr. My very first erotica book was Tequila Truth and I loved it! This book just proves that writing gets better and better the more you do it. I LOVED this book!!! It has moved right to the top of my favorites list. She has all of the elements you would expect in an erotica novella but it also has a great story with very believable characters and probably the best sex scenes I've ever read! That's usually hard to do in such a short story, but once again Mari pulled it off!
I so love the idea of the book store/bar! It's such a brilliant idea and if there really is something like that out there, I wanna know where. It would probably get me out of the house too! The characters are great, I love all of the women who own Books and Brew. They're a very nice combination and I can't wait to hear the other ladies stories too. But so far, even though this is the first book, Stephanie is my favorite. She's hilarious and so out spoken! Makes for great entertainment! Jarod was a great character too, he balanced out Stephanie very well. And the sex scenes....smokin' hot! I stayed up way too late reading this because of that reason alone! LOL
Now on to the next book! I have to make it last because I have to wait for the third one! I give this book 4.5 Moons and highly recommend it to any erotica lover and if you're new to the genre, Mari is a great one to start with!!!

I loved reading this book about Books and Brew the book shop and bar that Stephanie, Jordan, Jayce & Sophia own as equal partners. Each brings a different talent to the table, Stephanie has a degree in psychology and loves to listen to people talk and offer advice and she loves to tend the bar. Jordan has an degree in finance and accounting and she takes care of the books. Jayce has a degree in advertising and marketing so she takes care of that, Sophie has a degree in literature and history, and she purchases all the books. Each girl complements the other and they run a very successful business, they have been in business for two years, and so far things are working out great. Stephanie is having a very bad day and has managed to break several important bottles of liquor, and must run into town and replace them. While there she is unable to find parking, so she double parks, and gets a ticket from the detective she has blocked in, she's pissed and so is he. Read this book because it will make you laugh, and cum a bit. It's about friends and family and taking chances, even when your sure your going to get burned. I'm looking forward too reading the next three books in the series.
